How to post a job

To post your job, go to Manage Jobs > Post a Job. You can post your job by first describing your needs via a video or audio message or using our AI tool. Then, we'll ask a few questions to make sure you're matched with the right experts. Posting a job only takes five minutes and is zero commitment. Plus, you can always edit your post later.

Posting a job is easy, fast, and free. Here's a guide of what you should include and examples:

Post a job using a Video or Audio Message

Record a video or audio message

Don't worry about recording the perfect message or including all the project details. Just introduce yourself and describe what you need help with or who you're looking for.

Details to include:

  1. Briefly introduce yourself and your company

  2. Describe the project you need help with or the type of person you're looking for

  3. Include the ideal experience level and any required skills

Job title

Our AI will generate a job title based on your video or audio message. Confirm the title is clear, specific, and reflects the nature of your project needs. Here are some good examples:

  • "eLearning Developer needed to create onboarding training"

  • "Content Developer Needed for safety training"

  • "Instructional Designers needed to convert classroom courses into e-learning courses"

  • "Instructional Designer needed to update decision-making course"

Description

Our AI will generate a job description based on your video or audio message. While you don't need to include every detail, you'll get better matches if you include more information. We recommend including:

  • A description of the project needs or role responsibilities

  • Any specific requirements (specific certifications, experience with a particular tool or training format)

Highlight the text to bring up formatting options and make sure the most important parts of your description stand out.

Budget

We require you to set a budget when posting your job so we can match you with the right experts. Experts will also submit proposals with how much they would charge to work on your project, so the budget you choose now is just a starting point.

  • Choose between hourly or fixed-payment

    • If hourly, set your budgeted hourly rate

    • If fixed-payment, set your total budget

  • Or, click not ready to set a budget. You can post a job without one.

Estimated Duration

Indicate a start date and, optionally, an end date. This helps us match you with available experts. You can always edit this later.

Additional Details

  • Active need vs. just exploring: Indicate your timeline

  • Location: Select between remote or on-site

  • Public vs. Private: Select between making your job post public or private. Public job posts are available to all Learnexus experts while private job posts are invite only.

  • Additional information: Add any required skills.
